Bull Terriers are muscular, strong dogs whose coat is primarily white in color. Bull Terriers can also be of black, brindle, and tri-color. White Bull Terriers can have markings on the head. Any other markings on the body are discouraged. The Bull Terriers' coat is short and smooth. The breed is of medium size. The head is long with small erect ears. The eyes are dark and set closely. The bite is level or scissors. The short tail tapers to the end and is ideally carried horizontally. The Bull Terrier moves smoothly.

Bull Terriers - Temperament
Though the Bull Terrier's history is linked closely to dog fighting, the breed is not aggressive nowadays. Breeders took care to breed out undesirable qualities and produce a well-balanced dog. The Bull Terrier should be loyal to strangers and other pets and friendly toward its owner. The dog is said to love fun and a lot of activity. The Bull Terrier is very energetic and enjoys spending time playing around. Bull Terriers are good with children when socialized early. Children should also be taught to treat the dog with respect. Actually, the breed is recommended for experienced owners who can train the dog properly.
Life Span: Bull Terriers live for 10-12 years.

Bull Terriers Breeders - Bull Terriers are a cross between the Bulldog and Terriers. At the time when bull-baiting was extremely popular numerous sport's lovers spared no pains in creating the most alert and vicious dog possessing a considerable amount of endurance. Pit and dog fighting grew more exciting with the appearance of a new breed.
However, the British government outlawed the bloody sport and Bull Terriers experienced certain changes. Particularly, about 1860 James Hinks perfected the dog's appearance by crossing it with the White English Terrier and the Dalmatian. The breed we know today was accepted in the show ring and virtually set the Thames on fire.
Bull Terriers - Bull Terriers, also called English Bull Terriers, or White Cavaliers, are active, strong dogs. They do not do well with other pets but get along easily with strangers. The standard has neither fixed height, nor weight. However, Bull Terriers usually grow to 21-22 inches and weigh from about 45 to 65 pounds.
The most valued pattern is white with possible markings on the head. Other color patters are also permitted.
