Sometimes these dogs are difficult to train; they need very firm training and lots of exercise and early socialization too. As the canine has a tendency to become overweight and lazy, they need to be properly exercised. If they are properly exercised they can live in an apartment.

Though these are very kind animals still they cannot tolerate teasing and children should be taught to respect these dogs. They are very protective and willful being fighters in the past they are always ready to protect an owner and to fight to the death.
